I’ll be working outside all this weekend, so I’ll be back with this old favorite on Tuesday: Petticoat Junktion Here’s another sofa table makeover you might like: I hope y’all enjoyed this simple makeover today! Don’t forget my friends have three more furniture flips to share with you today!ģ. I love when I find something and can get started on it right away! I had originally planned to stain the top, but when I was deciding on a color to use on the drawers, I knew I wanted to paint the top in this soothing color also! I don’t usually paint the entire drawer, inside and out on my pieces, but these were just small, so I did… I really love Savannah Mist, and I love it even more paired with white!Ĭhanging up the hardware made a huge difference too! So bright and fresh, and this table now has a totally diffferent vibe! I often use stencils, transfers, decoupage papers, resin moulds, etc in my makeovers, but it’s amazing what paint alone can do! I then sealed with two coats of Satin Clear Coat using the blue sponge applicator to apply it:Īnd that was it! Blue and White Painted Sofa Table the After Once the paint was dry, I lightly sanded all over with 220 grit sandpaper to smooth and distress a bit. So, I added a coat of white BOSS to block the bleeding and allowed it to dry overnight before painting, and that one coat took care of it! No smelly products necessary to tame that bleed-through! When I went to paint the drawers, I got major bleeding from the sanding: I gave the bottom three coats of Cotton white, Dixie Belle’s whitest white, and I gave the top two coats of Savannah Mist: I let them dry outside in the warm air for most of the day before sanding the drawer fronts smooth. Then, I filled the holes in the drawers with Dixie Mud in brown since I planned to change out the hardware: One jar will do a ton of projects! Once I finished wiping down my table, I swapped my water for clean water and gave it one last wipe down to remove any residue. I just mix one TBSP of White Lightning with a half gallon of warm water in this small tub I saved from my Mr. The first order of business was a good cleaning with White Lightning, and these terrycloth sponges are perfect for the job! I had planned to share the dresser in my current haul for Furniture Fixer Upper Day today, but I decided to play with this table instead! Be sure to look out for three more fabulous furniture flips from my friends at the bottom! Clean While there wasn’t a ton of things left, I’m so glad I stopped because I picked up this sofa table for only $20!Īnd, I also scored a vintage stool in the garage for only a dollar! However last Friday, as I was turning into our neighborhood, I saw a sign at the entrance to the neighborhood across from ours for an estate sale, and it was a company that I didn’t recognize, so I did a quick u-turn and headed on over. So much so that I rarely stop when I see a sign for one beacuse you know, I’m cheap. The ones in my area are all typically obscenely overpriced. I have really been jaded by estate sales in recent years. Hello beautiful friends! Today, I’ve got a super simple makeover! I’m sharing a blue and white painted sofa table that I found like this at an estate sale last Friday:
