Just a little background with the truck: I had it on the dyno just a couple weeks after I bought it. This morning I came into the shop and changed the oil, downloaded the stock tune, and drove over to my buddy's dyno Air Intake System Air filter options on a supercharged 2015 Tundra Looking at the TRD CAI Story of Ethanol. Well, I finally had the time so I installed the tuner last night and messed with a little, but didn't have a chance to really test it. Also, I knew it was going to take about an hour to re-install the BullyDog since I had to update it to a supercharged tune. but I did it all in 1 day!!) about 2 months ago, but have been just slammed with builds and haven't had time to dyno the truck since installing it. After hearing many mixed reviews, and actually helping develop the 'trail tune' for Tundra's, I was in the position to put a BullyDog to the test today!! I installed my TRD supercharger (took 18hrs. Dowside for BD in my case is that I already have a Scangauge and the PC-based VCI reader, so for me it's performance justification, which is hard to do without further data.Hello y'all. And with a $900 retail, I need to know if the premium tune only gives me 5HP because I only have a NA 4.0, and not SC'd nor a 5.7.ģ) I understand that the BD value come from performance, extended gauges, obdii reader, and settings modifications. With only the marketing numbers I don't know what to expect for my truck. This is so that when something else happens I can understand if the BD is any part of a problem, and also understand if any other mod I make might have a good/bad affect on my truck.Ģ) The general HP numbers are fine, but are marketing driven (i.e., "up to.") as I would like some specific info for my truck, 09 Tacoma 4.0 NA. After installing tuner truck idled at 425 rpm in park and 325 in gear. I can tell you that it is more than just the a/f ratio, and that we're constantly discovering new maps in the ecm that unlock more power. If I do, the engineers will get mad, and next time you hear from me will be when you toss a coin in my cup. I can't tell you anything about how the engineers are getting the power. ![]() Just from reading through the thread real quick I saw some stipulation about how we're getting the extra horses. Please keep in mind that I won't be able to answer questions all at once and/or immediately, especially if you bomb me with a thousand! But I'll do my best. Unfortunately he doesn't have the time to reanswer a whole bunch of questions, so I'm going to recommend checking out that thread (It's on TT, and has been in the active topics section for the last few weeks so you should still see it there) but I am also willing to answer questions on here. We didn't ask him to, he just saw the thread and hopped on it. I might get in trouble with the forum for stating this (sorry!) but there is another forum that one of our guys has been on for a while now.
